Carnival Films' Emmy and Golden Globe award winning drama Downton Abbey Series 4 comes to Blu-Ray and DVD on 11th November 2013, courtesy of Universal Pictures (UK).

Nominated for a total of 39 primetime Emmy® Awards, Downton Abbey, created and written by Julian Fellowes, begins series 4 in 1922. Following on six months from the tragic death of Matthew in the Christmas episode Mary is left to bring up baby George alone. Will she find happiness in the fourth series of the critically acclaimed drama?

The SAG award-winning ensemble cast reprise their much-loved characters with: Maggie Smith as Dowager Countess of Grantham, Violet; Hugh Bonneville as Earl of Grantham; Elizabeth McGovern as Countess of Grantham; Jim Carter as Carson; Michelle Dockery as Lady Mary Crawley; Brendan Coyle as John Bates; Joanne Froggatt as Anna Bates; Phyllis Logan as Mrs Hughes; Sophie McShera as Daisy Mason; Laura Carmichael as Lady Edith Crawley; Rob James-Collier as under-butler Thomas Barrow footman; Cara Theobold as kitchen maid Ivy and Ed Speleers as footman Jimmy.

Guest artists joining the cast this series are: Tom Cullen (Weekend) as Lord Anthony Gillingham, an old family friend; Nigel Harman (Hotel Babylon) as visiting valet Green; Dame Harriet Walter (Babel) as Violet's friend Lady Shackleton; Joanna David (Pride and Prejudice) plays the Duchess of Yeovil; Julian Ovenden (Foyle's War) as aristocrat Charles Blake; Raquel Cassidy (Lead Balloon) as a new servant named Baxter; Daisy Lewis (Borgia) as Sarah Bunting; and Gary Carr (Death in Paradise) plays jazz musician Jack Ross.

Shirley MacLaine reprises her role as Cora's mother, Martha Levinson in the 2013 Christmas episode and is joined by Paul Giamatti (Sideways) who plays Cora's free-spirited brother, Harold. As well as James Fox (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) who will play Lord Aysgarth
