Synopsis

In The Big Bounce, Owen Wilson plays Jack Ryan, a likeable drifter whose talents lie just outside the law. On the exotic North Shore of Oahu, he soon discovers that whether he is looking for a new con or a little romance, temptation is everywhere.

Jack is fired from his construction job working for Ray Ritchie (Gary Sinise), a shady real estate developer after clocking his foreman (Vinnie Jones) with a baseball bat. Bob Jr. (Charlie Sheen), Ritchie's right-hand man, warns Jack to get off the island if he knows what's good for him. Ignoring Bob Jr., Jack takes a job at District Judge Walter Crewes (Morgan Freeman) holiday development, but is Walter taking an unusually keen interest in Jack's past crimes and uncertain future.

Between his handyman chores and catching breathtaking waves on his board Jack takes up with criminally-minded seductress Nancy Hayes (Sara Foster), a thrill-loving local who specialises in petty crime. Nancy seduces Jack into double-crossing her lover Ray Ritchie and stealing $200,000 of his payoff money. This could be the perfect score, or the perfect set-up. For the love, for the money, for the rush... it's The Big Bounce.
