March 1943. Sardi's, New York City. As Broadway enters a new era, legendary lyricist Lorenz Hart (Ethan Hawke) faces the quiet collapse of his own confidence in the shadows of a familiar bar. Hart confronts the widening distance between who he was and who he is, all while trying to save face as his former collaborator Richard Rodgers (Andrew Scott) toasts to the ground-breaking musical Oklahoma! on its opening night.
