The series is back and don't worry: Alma's still not normal.

The eponymous Alma, from Bolton, continues to try to give her life meaning and the "fabulous" outcome she has always dreamed of, while coping with the strained relationships of her family that saw her spend time in care, something else which she is trying to reconcile.

Alma's Not Normal offers a bitingly funny and unflinching take on class, sexuality, mental health and substance abuse. It celebrates women dealing with the hand they were dealt while doggedly pursing their dreams. It explores the darker side of life but with genuine warmth and laugh out loud result

The series is written by and stars Sophie Willan and is inspired by her own experiences of the care system.
