Details

Following the dramatic events of the first season, Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) finds himself facing even greater pressure as he attempts to keep M-Tex Oil moving forward in the unforgiving world of the West Texas oil industry. No longer simply the man called upon to solve problems in the field, Tommy must contend with the responsibilities and consequences that come with having the future of the company increasingly resting on his shoulders.

At the same time, Cami Miller (Demi Moore) is forced to take a more active role in the business left behind by her late husband, bringing her into an uneasy partnership with Tommy as they attempt to protect M-Tex and its interests. With enormous sums of money at stake and powerful figures circling the company, the distinction between business negotiation and outright survival becomes increasingly difficult to maintain.

Tommy's problems aren't confined to the boardroom. His son Cooper (Jacob Lofland) continues to pursue ambitions of his own in the oil business, while Angela (Ali Larter) and Ainsley (Michelle Randolph) ensure that life within the Norris family remains every bit as complicated as the dangers Tommy faces at work. The arrival of Tommy's father, T.L. (Sam Elliott), also brings another generation of Norris family history into the equation, forcing Tommy to confront a past that has helped shape the man he has become.

Meanwhile, the presence of powerful cartel figure Gallino (Andy Garcia) serves as a reminder that some of the relationships formed during the first season remain potentially deadly. As buried secrets begin to emerge and the pressures surrounding M-Tex intensify, Tommy discovers that surviving another oil boom requires considerably more than knowing how to keep the wells pumping.

Created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, Landman: Season 2 returns to the boomtowns of West Texas for another tale of roughnecks, billionaires, family rivalries and fortunes won and lost in an industry capable of reshaping lives, economies and entire communities.
