François Ozon has adapted a monumental work of literature - The Stranger (also known as The Outsider) by Albert Camus.

In 1930s Algeria, the apathetic Meursault (Benjamin Voisin) shows total indifference to life. His emotional detachment leads to a murder, followed by a trial that scrutinises both the crime and his character.

The Stranger, released on DVD and Blu-ray 7th August 2026 from Curzon Film, was selected for the official competition at the Venice Film Festival and UK-premiered at the London Film Festival.
