Danny Dyer enters the ruthless world of professional football when One Last Deal arrives on Blu-ray and DVD this December courtesy of Vertigo Releasing.

Dyer stars as Jimmy Banks, an old-school football agent whose career has seen considerably better days. Once accustomed to operating in the upper reaches of the game, Jimmy increasingly finds himself being left behind as a younger generation of agents and players takes centre stage.

He desperately needs one more success. His opportunity appears to rest with star player Matt Gravish (Elliott Rogers), a valuable client who could provide Jimmy with the lucrative final deal he needs to put himself back on top.

There is, however, a rather substantial problem. Matt is on trial for sexual assault.

With his client's reputation and future hanging in the balance, Jimmy continues trying to put together the best possible deal should Matt be acquitted. It's an uncomfortable position which places the veteran agent firmly within the morally murky world surrounding professional football, where reputations, careers and enormous sums of money can depend upon what happens away from the pitch. Jimmy's own past isn't entirely spotless either.

As he desperately attempts to keep the deal alive, events begin closing in around him and the prospect of one final payday becomes increasingly entangled with decisions and relationships he'd rather leave behind.

What begins as another football negotiation consequently develops into something considerably darker as Jimmy struggles to maintain control of both his professional and personal life.

Directed by Brendan Muldowney, One Last Deal was written by Peter Howlett and originally filmed under the title Three Quick Breaths. Muldowney previously directed the historical thriller Pilgrimage and supernatural horror The Cellar, while One Last Deal moves into the very different surroundings of agents, contracts and the business behind professional football.

Danny Dyer leads the film as Jimmy Banks, with Elliott Rogers playing Matt Gravish. The supporting cast includes Carlos Bardem, Katy Cavanagh-Jupe, Sophie Doran, Jonny Everett, Penelope Gavin, Demetri Goritsas and Dagmar Döring, while BBC Radio 2 presenter Jo Whiley also makes an appearance as a radio DJ.

One Last Deal will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on 14th December 2026 by Vertigo Releasing.
