Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fast Forward (2003)
Tuesday 2nd October 2007
A new wave of Turtlemania hits DVD in October as the pizza loving, wisecracking, butt-kicking Heroes in a Half Shell - Raphael, Leonardo, Michaelangelo and Donatello - return in a brand-new, 26-episode animated series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fast Forward, released on DVD by Contender Home Entertainment on 8th October 2007. As if living your life as a walking, talking, mutated reptile with phenomenal martial arts skills on the streets of New York wasn't bizarre enough, this time around our heroes have a totally new and unexpected dilemma to contend with - they've been catapulted 100 years into the future!
During yet another of their all-too-frequent, juvenile bickering sessions, Raphael, Leonardo, Michaelangelo and Donatello, along with their mentor, Splinter, are abruptly and mysteriously transported to the year 2105. There, they find themselves in a nerve-jangling futuristic city inhabited by a melting pot of humans, aliens and androids, all struggling to co-exist in their unforgiving and crime-ridden world.
The person responsible for the Turtles' predicament is none other than Cody Jones, the teenage great grandson of their old friends, April O'Neil and Casey Jones. The young heir to the vast O'Neil-Jones Tech business empire, Cody has managed to develop a groundbreaking time-travelling device that unfortunately has one minor technical flaw - it only works one way! Trapped in an unfamiliar time and suffering from serious adjustment issues, the Turtles soon find their efforts to find a way back home hampered by the small matter of crime-fighting when several foes from the past reappear, albeit slightly older than before.
