Jackie (2017)
Monday 24th April 2017
The most pivotal moment in American history is told from the point of view of the Country's most revered First Lady, as the award-winning Jackie receives its home entertainment release - available from Entertainment One on Digital Download 15th May 2017 and on Blu-ray and DVD 29th May 2017.
Pablo Larraín's thrilling biopic paints a haunting portrait of the universally renowned style icon, Jaqueline Kennedy (Natalie Portman; Black Swan, V for Vendetta, Thor) as she copes with the tragic loss of her husband, John F Kennedy, and the aftermath of his assassination. In the week following, Jacqueline Kennedy emerged from tragedy with poise and dignity to seal her role as one of the most iconic women of all-time.
Portman's BAFTA Award-nominated performance has been described as 'a performance of a lifetime,' (Robbie Collin, The Telegraph). Her mesmerising portrayal of America's Queen, Jackie Kennedy is 'astonishing' (Variety), as she fought to make a funeral procession a national spectacle that would secure the Kennedy's legacy and preserve the Camelot years.
Directed by the Oscar nominated Pablo Larraín (Neruda, No), and with a moving, Oscar and BAFTA nominated score by Mica Levi (Under The Skin), Jackie also stars Peter Sarsgaard as Bobby Kennedy (An Education, Blue Jasmine, Black Mass), Billy Crudup (Almost Famous, 20th Century Women, Spotlight), Greta Gerwig (20th Century Women, No Strings Attached), Richard E. Grant and the late John Hurt in one of his last roles.
