Black Snake Moan (2006)
Tuesday 21st August 2007
Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, Coach Carter, Shaft), Christina Ricci (Sleepy Hollow) and international pop icon Justin Timberlake star in Craig Brewer's smoldering, blues-driven tale Black Snake Moan arriving on DVD on 17th September 2007 from Paramount Home Entertainment.
When Lazarus (Jackson) finds the town nymphomaniac Rae (Ricci) half naked, beaten unconscious and left for dead on the side of the road, the God-fearing, middle-aged black man vows to nurse her back to health and cure her of her wanton ways and sinful addictions for good. Until then, Lazarus holds her prisoner in his home and keeps her chained to the radiator.
Jackson and Ricci deliver sizzling performances as Lazarus and Rae; Lazarus a bitter and broken ex-blues musician whose wife has left him for his own brother, and Rae, the compulsive sex addict, whom Lazarus is determined to cure of her 'wickedness'. While Lazarus and Rae struggle to fix their broken lives, the situation threatens to explode as Rae's boyfriend Ronnie (Justin Timberlake) - a roughneck soldier just back from Iraq - comes searching for his missing lover.
