The Five Year Engagement (2012)
Thursday 18th October 2012
Join Tom and Violet as they embark on their hazardous adventure to the aisle, when The Five Year Engagement arrives on shelves and is available to download on 29th October 2012 from Universal Pictures UK.
From the makers of Bridesmaids, this hilarious romantic comedy takes you on a journey from the initial proposal through the mis-haps along the way and the bumps in the road that force it to become a Five Year Engagement! The witty modern rom-com teams up director Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), producers Judd Apatow (Bridesmaids, Anchorman) and Rodney Rothman (Get Him to the Greek) with writer and actor Jason Segel.
Tom Solomon (Jason Segel, How I Met Your Mother, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Violet Barnes (Emily Blunt,The Devil Wears Prada, The Adjustment Bureau) are the perfectly matched ideal couple who live in San Francisco and get engaged a year after they began dating. With the seemingly perfect start to their relationship they don't foresee all of the issues that will keep tripping them up on their way down the aisle.
From a bungled marriage proposal, to a presentation about Tom's ex-girlfriends at their engagement party and the hook up between Tom's best friend Alex (Chris Pratt) and Violet's sister Suzie (Alison Brie) (and the subsequent pregnancy!), it seems that getting hitched won't be that simple. As Tom sacrifices a job he loves in San Francisco for Violet to follow her dream of a teaching fellowship in Michigan, he is forced to take a job in a sandwich shop and their wedding plans are again put on hold. The question on everyone's lips is will this seemingly perfect couple ever make it down the aisle?
Don't miss The Five Year Engagement available to buy on DVD, Blu-ray and on Digital Download from 29th October 2012.
