David Tennant stars in the critically-acclaimed BBC drama Single Father, a touching and humourous four-parter charting a man's struggle to raise his four children after the sudden death of his partner. Starring Tennant (Doctor Who), Suranne Jones (Coronation Street, Unforgiven) and written by Mick Ford (Ashes to Ashes), Single Father is available on download from iTunes and on BBC DVD from 29th November 2010.
Dave (Tennant) is a lovely man in his late 30s, happily living in the midst of a pretty typical 21st century family. He adores his partner Rita, even when she's difficult, which is quite often, and he loves their kids. But when Rita dies suddenly, Dave faces the daunting prospect of bringing up their children on his own, as well as coping with his own and his children's grief.
Things get even more complicated when he begins to fall in love with his wife's best friend, Sarah. Is Dave betraying Rita by falling in love again so quickly, or will he be walking away from happiness if he ignores his feelings? With his children at the centre of his world, Dave worries what will happen when they find out. Single Father asks how soon is too soon to fall in love again?
Broadcast in four parts on BBC 1, and produced by Red Production Company, Single Father has been a ratings and critical success since launch. Now available to enjoy all episodes at home in time for Christmas - this pedigree drama series is priced £19.99 on DVD and episodes at £1.89 from iTunes.
