Room 237, released on DVD by Metrodome on 1st April 2013, is an exploration into the numerous theories regarding the subtexts within Stanley Kubrick's phenomenal horror The Shining. The original film may be over 30 years old, but it continues to inspire debate, speculation and mystery.
In Room 237, we hear from people who believed they have decoded the far-reaching theories, hidden symbols and messages buried in the late director's film. Carefully examining The Shining forwards and backwards, Room 237 is equal parts captivating, provocative and pure pleasure. A must see for movie buffs of all ages. Directed by Rodney Ascher.
Room 237 had its worldwide premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and played in Directors Fortnight the Cannes Film Festival.
