Paramount Pictures presents the Golden Globe and Academy Award winning film, Babel, a mesmerising and emotional tale made up of four interlocking stories spanning Morocco, Mexico, Japan and the United States, exploring the sheer power of human emotions. Babel is available to buy from 21st May 2007 from Paramount Pictures.
Featuring an all star cast including Brad Pitt (Ocean's Eleven), Oscar winner Cate Blanchett (Notes on a Scandal) and Gael Garcia Bernal (Y tu mamá también), and from the creative pairing of screenwriter G Arriaga and director of 21 Grams and Amores Perros, Alejandro González Iñárritu. Richard (Brad Pitt) and Susan (Cate Blanchett) are an American couple taking a holiday in Morocco following the tragic death of their young son. In an attempt to rekindle their marriage, their holiday takes an unexpected turn when Susan is shot. The story unfolds further and transcends through four continents linking a poor Moroccan family, the couple's children and Mexican nanny back in the US and the troubles of a deaf Japanese teenager.
The inspirational tale of Babel will also be digitally translated onto screens for the first time in crystal clear HD and Blu Ray formats, enabling fans to enjoy the film and its special features in the best sound and picture quality available. Released by Paramount Pictures with a host of extras, Babel is an insightful take on the reality of life.
