Hardman Jason Statham takes you on an adrenaline-fuelled roller coaster in the box-office hit The Mechanic, released on Blu-ray and DVD on 6th June 2011 by Momentum Pictures.

From director Simon West (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Con-Air), Jason Statham (The Expendables, The Transporter) is accompanied by a rock-solid cast including Ben Foster (30 Days of Night, X-Men: The Last Stand), Donald Sutherland (The Italian Job, Citizen X), Tony Goldwyn (The Last Samurai, Ghost) and Swedish supermodel Mini Andén (Tropic Thunder, Ocean's Twelve).

Statham is Arthur Bishop - The Mechanic - an elite agency assassin with a unique talent for cleanly eliminating targets with deadly skill and total emotional detachment. The only real relationship in his life is with his mentor and good friend Harry McKenna (Sutherland).

When the agency forces Bishop to kill Harry following rumours of a leak within the team, The Mechanic sets out on a self-imposed assignment to take down those really responsible and avenge his mentor's death. It's not long before Harry's son Steve (Foster) emerges with the same vengeful goal and determination to learn Bishop's trade and soon a deadly partnership is born. However, while in pursuit of their ultimate mark, deceptions threaten to surface and those hired to fix problems become the targets themselves.

This high-octane masterpiece is the ideal Father's Day present for Dads who love fast cars and hardhitting action. So if yours is already a fan of Statham's The Transporter and Crank movies, this is definitely one to add to your Dad's collection. The DVD and Blu-ray also features some fantastic extras including deleted scenes and a featurette on 'inside the action'.

Jason Statham is one of Hollywood's biggest stars with a proven track record of box-office hits under his belt. He's in his element in this remake of Michael Winner's 1972 film of the same name that starred Charles Bronson. The Mechanic's gripping plot and mind-blowing stunts will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
