Futurama: Season 6
Wednesday 1st May 2013
The world's most notorious pizza delivery boy returns to our screens when Futurama: Season 6 explodes onto Blu-ray and DVD on 24th June 2013 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
Futurama is the hugely popular series created by the king of animation and critically acclaimed writer, Matt Groening, the brainchild behind The Simpsons.
Set in the year 3000, Futurama follows the life of Fry, a dim-witted yet good hearted pizza delivery boy who accidentally freezes himself in a cryogenic pod on December 31, 1999 and awakens a thousand years later on New Year's Eve. In his future home of "New New York City" Fry gets a job at the Planet Express intergalactic pizza delivery company where he becomes friends with Bender, a foul mouthed, beer-fuelled robot and sets his romantic sights on Leela, the sexy Cyclops and Captain of the Planet Express.
Futurama features a stellar voice cast including Billy West (Ben 10, Hey Arnold) as the ill-fated pizza delivery boy Fry, John DiMaggio (Ben 10: Omniverse, SpongeBob SquarePants) as Bender the ego centric robot and Katey Sagal (Lost, That 70s Show) as Leela.
Having received an Emmy Award® for Outstanding Animated Program in 2012, beating off stiff competition from American Dad, The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers and The Penguins Of Madagascar, as well as having been recently commissioned for a seventh series, Futurama is more popular than ever with both fans and critics alike.
