Broadchurch: The Final Chapter (2017)
Wednesday 1st March 2017
The hugely anticipated final series of the TV phenomenon Broadchurch arrives on DVD and Blu-ray following its run on ITV on 24th April 2017. Broadchurch Complete Series 1-3 Box Set will also be released in both formats courtesy of RLJ Entertainment's Acorn label.
Penned by acclaimed writer Chris Chibnall (Torchwood), the third and final series of Broadchurch, ITV's multi award-winning drama sees David Tennant (Doctor Who) and Olivia Colman (The Night Manager) reprise their roles as the dynamic duo DI Alec Hardy and DS Ellie Miller, as they are called in to investigate a new case - the brutal sexual assault of a local woman, Trish Winterman (Julie Hesmondhalgh - Coronation Street).
Three years have passed in a town that will never forget; but times change. The local newspaper, once the backbone of Broadchurch, is facing closure, and DI Alec Hardy with DS Ellie Miller are about to take on a case that reopens old wounds and divides the town in ways they could never have predicted.
What dark secrets still lie buried in a town that has been so closely examined? And how will unresolved issues around the death of young Danny Latimer finally be settled? The answers lie in Broadchurch: The Final Chapter.
Jodie Whittaker (The Smoke) and Andrew Buchan (Garrow's Law) return to play Beth and Mark Latimer and are joined by National Television Award winner Julie Hesmondhalgh, BAFTA winners Lenny Henry (The Syndicate) and Georgina Campbell (Murdered By My Boyfriend) along with Sarah Parish (Mistresses), Charlie Higson (The Fast Show) and Mark Bazeley (The Bourne Ultimatum).
Other returning cast include Arthur Darvill (Little Dorrit) as Vicar Paul Coates, Carolyn Pickles (Land Girls) as newspaper editor Maggie Radcliffe and Adam Wilson (Mr Selfridge) as Ellie's son Tom.
