Corporate billionaire Edward Cole (Nicholson) and working class mechanic Carter Chambers (Freeman) have little in common, or so it seems. At a crossroads in their lives, they share a hospital room and discover the surface differences (and sheer contempt) aside, they have a deep desire to experience the best that life has to offer, before they ‘kick the bucket’. They write a joint ‘bucket list’ and embark on the once in a lifetime adventure. What crazy things would you want to do before you kicked the bucket?
