Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

You’d be forgiven for thinking that once you’ve seen one music biopic then you’ve seen them all but Dewey Cox is about to change all that! Another comedy gem from the stable of producer Judd Apatow (Superbad, Knocked Up), Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story arrives on DVD and Blu-ray from 12th May 2008, courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Charting the hilarious rise, fall and rise again of fictional music hero Dewey Cox (John C Reilly, Magnolia, Talladega Nights), Walk Hard follows Dewey as he beds 411 women, has 22 kids, stars in his own TV show and becomes addicted to and kicks every drug known to man.

With friends including Elvis, The Beatles and even a chimp, no music star in history lead a life that compared to Dewey’s. But the love of a good woman (Jenna Fischer, The Brothers Solomon, TV’s The Office: An American Workplace) calms his wilder excesses and earns him the status of a true American hero.

Taking pot shots at earnest music biopics like Ray and Walk The Line, Walk Hard features a Golden Globe-nominated performance from John C Reilly. The DVD and Blu-ray release of Walk Hard features a host of extra material and is a must-have for comedy fans everywhere.
