The Heartbreak Kid, released by Paramount Home Entertainment on 4th February 2008, is an outrageously funny comedy, from top writer and directors the Farrelly Brothers (There’s Something About Mary, Dumb and Dumber). After years of bachelorhood and constant pressure from his father, Doc (Stiller’s real-life father Jerry Stiller), Eddie starts to wonder if he is being too picky about the women he meets. So when a chance encounter with alluring blonde Lila leads to a sweet romance Eddie impulsively decides to get married. However, their heavenly honeymoon quickly descends to hell when the woman of his dreams turns out to be a total nightmare and the guy who could never pull the trigger realises he jumped the gun. Soon after reaching their exotic Mexican hideaway, Eddie falls for girl-next-door Miranda (Michelle Monaghan – Mission: Impossible III, Mr. & Mrs Smith), who has no clue that he's on his honeymoon. Now Eddie has to find a way to disentangle himself from his brief disastrous marriage without losing the girl of his dreams.
