Hot young gun Andy Samberg (Saturday Night Live), plays quirky amateur stuntman Rod Kimble who sets out to fulfil the legacy of his father - the man he believes was Evel Knievel’s test-rider. Hot Rod is a side-splitting comedy that was tragically overlooked theatrically yet is set to become the new Napoleon Dynamite with an army of diverse talent in both the cast and crew. The only things stopping Rod from sitting in his fathers stunt-bike seat is his questionable talent and his domineering step-father, Frank (Ian McShane), who seems intent on shattering his hopes and dreams. When Frank falls ill, Rod organises the stunt jump of his life in order to save his step-father and prove his stunt talents to the world. The plan is to jump 15 buses, raise the money for Frank’s heart operation, and then kick his ass! Supported with a hot cast of comedy actors including renowned British actor Ian McShane (Deadwood) and the gorgeous Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers) as Rod’s love interest and girl next door, this film is sure to leave you in fits of laughter throughout.
