Juno

June becomes the month of Juno as this Academy Award®-winning (Best Original Screenplay), critically acclaimed, box office smash comes to DVD on 2nd June 2008 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Making box-office history in the US by becoming the first film released by Fox Searchlight to cross the coveted $100 million mark in theatrical box-office grosses, Juno is a film that simply ‘Went and charmed the world’ (The Sunday Times).

Juno MacGuff (Ellen Page) is a cool 16-year-old with a sharp line in sardonic wit, but beneath her confident exterior is a teenage girl just trying to figure it all out. After seducing her unassuming classmate Bleeker (Michael Cera) she finds herself pregnant and stuck ‘in one doodle that can’t be undid’. Along with best friend Leah (Olivia Thirlby), and with the support of her father (J.K. Simmons) and stepmother (Allison Janney) she hatches a plan to find the unborn baby the perfect set of parents and sets her sights on Mark and Vanessa Loring (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner), a seemingly faultless suburban couple.

From a universally acclaimed debut script by Diablo Cody, Juno is a film littered with pithy one-liners and quirky, vulnerable characters who grapple through various crises and emerge a little worse for wear. Discovered by Hollywood producer Mason Novick who came across her blog ‘The Pussy Ranch’; based on her previous experiences in the sex-industry, Diablo was to become an Oscar Winning phenomenon with her debut screenplay Juno.

Directed by Jason Reitman (Thank You For Smoking) Juno brings together a colourful supporting cast of Michael Cera (Superbad, Arrested Development) Jason Bateman (Mr Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, The Kingdom) Jennifer Garner (Elektra, Alias) Allison Janney, (Hairspray, The West Wing) and of course the Academy Award® nominee Ellen Page (Best Actress).

Special Features:

  • Audio Commentary by Director Jason Reitman and Writer Diablo Cody
  • Eleven Deleted Scenes and Deleted Scenes with Commentary
  • Gag Reel, Gag Take, Cast and Crew Jam, Screen Tests
  • Four Featurettes
