Region free hacks

DV-2000, DV-2150, DV-3000, RC-852

Multi-Region:

• Open the players tray
• Enter 2, 1, 6, 8 using the Remote Control, followed by OK
• Enter the region code e.g. 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2 etc. enter 9 for Region free (Use the Enter key to cycle through the Regions)
• If the above region selection code doesn't work then try 0 for region free

DV-3300

Multi-Region:

• Press the Open/Close button & the tray will open
• On the remote press Repeat, 9, 5, 2 and Repeat
• Press your desired region number
• Press the power button on the unit to store the settings
• After a few seconds turn the unit back on & you will now be multi-region. Most discs will play in region 0 but some region 1 discs will only play in region 1

PL-D1000

Multi-Region:

• Open the disc tray
• Press 3, 8, 3 and 8 on the remote
• A service menu will appear
• Select the required region, i.e. 1 for 1, 2 for 2 and so on. Use 9 for region free
• Macrovision can also be disabled from the menu
• Close the disc tray

PL-D1200

Multi-Region:

• Power on the player and Open the tray
• Enter 8, 1, 3, 2, 8 
• Enter the region code e.g. 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2 etc. enter 0 for Region free (Use the Enter key to cycle through the Regions)
• Close the tray

PL-D1600

Multi-Region:

• Press Open/Close on remote control
• DVD tray opens.
• Press Adj/Vol+ and then Language on remote control.
• Press \/ (Arrow Down below Enter) button until display changes to 0
• Press Enter on remote control, to save
• Close tray
• DVD player is now "Code Free"

PL-D2000

Multi-Region:

• Ensure TV monitor is On and set to display DVD
• Turn system completely Off
• Turn On system and Open tray
• Using remote press and hold the Return button
• Whilst holding the Return button, press and hold the Display button
• You will see something similar to VER 1006 TE 3210 on the screen
• Release Display and Return buttons simultaneously
• Press the Angle button
• You will see WRITING REGION ID displayed
• Player should now be region free

DV-2170

Multi-Region:

• Empty the Disc Drawer
• Press Setup on the remote
• Press 1, 3, 6, 9, Left, Left, Left, Right (keypad)
• Use Up and Down to change region. Set to 0 for region free
• Exit Setup

Multi-Region:

• Empty the Disc Drawer
• Press Setup on the remote
• Press 1, 3, 6, 9, Left, Left, Left, Right (keypad)
• "Version" will appear on the Menu, scroll down to this
• Once in "Version" go to Region and go across to the number and change to 0 for Multi-Region. Use the keypad to change the zones
• Then exit Version and Setup

DV-3120

Multi-Region:

• Open disc tray
• Press Setup
• Press Vol +, Vol -, Vol +, Vol - then Mute
• Select Region by pressing < or > on remote
• Region 256 (or try 255) is region free

DV-H550

Multi-Region:

• Turn On power and using the remote Open the tray
• Push Clear, 2, 5, 8, 0 and Clear keys in order
• Unit enters into test mode. "TESTMODE" is displayed on FL Display and some numbers are displayed on TV screen
• Under most line on the TV screen, some numeric are displayed as "08 - XX XX XX XX AA BB CC" Region 0. Should be set so that AA = 23, BB = 23, and CC = 00
• If the settings (AA = 25, BB = 23, CC = 02) are correct, Push Return key twice. Tray is Closed and unit exits from Test mode
