Region free hacks

HDV-2000

• Open the tray and place a disc in the tray but don't close it
• Press the Enter button on the remote control
• Press the Play button on the remote control
• Press buttons 2, 5 and 8 on the remote control
• Press 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2, 4 for Region 4 and so on
• An error message will appear, after this your machine should be set the region specified

HU-2010

Multi-Region:

• Open the players tray
• Press Setup on the remote Control
• Go to the sub-menu "Custom Setup" by pressing Right on the remote 3 times
• Press 3, 3, 3, 3 on the Remote
• You should be taken into a new menu "Secret1 Menu" where you can select any region code you like, or 0 for Region free
• Press Setup on the remote to leave the menu once you have set the region

DM-350

Multi-Region:

• Power On and Open the disc tray
• Press Setup on the remote control
• Go to the Custom Setup menu by pressing the Right arrow on the remote control 4 times
• Using the remote control press 3, 3, 3 and 3
• A service menu called Secret Menu 1 should then appear
• Select the required region, i.e. 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2 and so on, or use 0 for region free
• Press Setup on the remote to exit the menu

HYDVD-580

Multi-Region:

• With no disc in the machine switch it On
• Open the tray
• With the remote enter: 2, 4, 0, 5, 9, 1 and 5
• A region menu appears indicating current
• Press Enter until the region is set to 9 (Region FREE)
• Close tray
