Alba, Akura, Bush, Daewoo, Goodmans, LG, JVC, Matsui, Medion, NEC, Philips, Samsung, Teac, Technika and Wharfedale

Manufacturer not listed and got a code? Don't keep us in the dark, please let us know!

Note:- Once a DVD players region has been successfully changed, playback of region one disc may result in a black and white or rolling picture. If this occurs then ensure that your viewing source can support NTSC signals and the player is not set to PAL only output, be it from a switch on the rear of the unit or via a settings menu on the player. If you are unsure of the settings then check the user manual for your video source and DVD player before changing the region settings. The hacks listed here are generally for players from the UK, Europe, Japan and Australia.

Many thanks to the people who've sent in their handset codes. Please keep them coming by sending your model name, number, unlock instructions, and if you want a mention, your name to:-

If you send an e-mail requesting help with your player then we'll try our best to help. However, due to the volume of e-mails we receive we may not be able to reply to them all. Please allow at least seven days for a reply.

DVD365.net takes no responsibility for the accuracy of the above information nor for any effects this may have on the DVD player. Where the purchase of an additional remote is required please double check before parting with any money. These codes are entered entirely at the owners risk. Beware, by making your player region free some RCE encoded discs may refuse to play on your machine.
