Synopsis

The latest group to feature in MTV’s unplugged series are The Corrs.

Film
MTV’s unplugged series have always been known for showing artists at their best. This unplugged session is no different; The Corrs are shown in their best light. The DVD is also a chance to listen to a few new songs acoustically, instead of the over studio edited versions which are on the album In Blue.
The Corrs seem to thrive under large concert conditions, but they also seem more emotional and personal in more intimate musical settings, like with the small gathering on this performance. This makes for a very powerful performance on this DVD.

Musical highlights from the DVD are the new songs Old Town and Radio. No Frontiers is another highpoint, with Caroline and Sharon taking the spotlight, instead of their sister Andrea. There is also a cover of REM’s Everybody Hurts, which was first aired at the Omagh Bomb memorial concert.

The picture and sound quality were both good, especially the sound quality which was clear and crisp. The studio production quality was good with good camera handling, unlike The Corrs Royal Albert Hall DVD.
