Synopsis |
|
Fouchet and his gang of thieves steal the entire contents of a drug haul from the police precinct where Lowrey and Burnett are based. Unfortunately for Julie Mott, her professional escort friend, invited to a party by the thieves is killed and now they're after Julie because she's the only witness to the crime. |

| This entire film revolves around the two detectives attempting to protect Julie from the thieves whilst at the same time trying to get the drugs back. Julie telephones the police and asks to speak to Mike Lowrey, but unfortunately he's not there. The captain forces Burnett to impersonate Lowrey which he does very reluctantly (and badly). |
| From now on, the pair of detectives have to swap roles with hilarious consequences. Burnett puts Julie up in Lowrey's apartment, which her dog fouls all over, Lowrey ends up moving in temporarily with Burnetts wife...Burnett thinks that Lowrey is having sex with his wife...Believe me...Its funny with a capital F! |
|
Unfortunately the picture quality is not too good. Although light scenes are generally good, its the darker scenes that let the film down with a slight graininess. Sound is also a bit of a let down with a hugely underused surround soundtrack, which is a shame. |
| If you like your "buddy movies", then I guarantee you'll love this film from start to finish. More scenes to look out for are the very funny afro picture scene and the "dead guy smell" scene. So all in all, you shouldn't buy this film for the picture or sound quality, just for the very funny film. |
